Where does the name for Collinite 845 "Insulator Wax" come from? A long time ago, in upstate New York, Mr. Collins made a unique mixture to be used on electrical insulators.  He called it 'Collinite Insulator Wax.'  A few years later, some boat captains on the east coast noticed that it also protected thier boat finishes better than anything else.  History was made.

Why do Collinite bottles have a child proof cap?  You won't believe this one.  A number of years ago someone tried to commit suicide by drinking Collinite.  The goverment felt that if a childproof cap was on the bottle, it would prevent this from happening. What do YOU think? Discuss.

Can I use Collinite 870 Fleetwax on my bathroom shower?  Funny you should ask. Yes, you can. It removes film and prevents it from occuring after applied.

Can I use Collinite 850 Metal Wax on all metals?  Yes, as the bottle says, "safe on ALL metals."

Where is Collinite made? It's proudly manufactured in Utica, New York.  The home of Utica Club beer, too (the 'nasty hangover' brew).

Has Collinite ever been featured in a major motion picture?  Yes it has, in the movie "Failure to Launch," starring Matthew McConaughay and some broad.  All of the boats in the film where waxed with Collinite Wax.  True story.

Why do I never see any advertisements for Collinite in magazines or TV?  Collinite has been around for over 6 decades, sales-a-growin' because of word of mouth alone.  Collinite chooses to put it's resources in making a quality product, not in ad buys.
