Powerful, Compact design at a great price!
Introducing the Kelvin 3, the newest extractor on the market today. It uses the most proven extraction design and is engineered by MacTec, who've been selling and servicing many major brands of hot water extractors for over 10 years. We've built a machine based on some of the finest design elements from the best machines on the market today, added some improvements, and sell it a great price. Compare the Kelvin 3 to the competition, and you'll find that you're getting the best for almost half the price of comparable machines on the market today. How do we do it? We where able to start from the ground up, and use standardized parts available throughout major commercial industries to save on fabrication costs. That doesn't mean it's a cheaply built machine, on the contrary, our machines frames are built with 7/16" thick HDPE and the recovery tank is held in place with a solid steel basket . Compare that against the weak, thin hydro-formed plastic on other machines that's maybe 1/8" thick on a good day, and guess which is going to last longer. Sure, roto molded designed machines may look good nice, but it's important to realize the tradeoffs. Our design eliminates the need for expensive hydro formed and roto molded machine dies, which is a major contributing factor to the expense in an extraction machine today. Furthermore, as the price of plastic has increased dramatically over the past decade, many machine manufactures have switched to cheaper plastic compounds, resulting in machines that are more prone to cracking and breaking earlier than thier conterparts that were built a decade earlier. And finally, that added cost from this outdated manufacturing process forced many machine companies to use cheaper parts inside the machine. Talk about 'lose-lose.' We use the highest quality HDPE (High Density Polyethelene) sheets in fabrication, along with welded steel upper to hold the recovery tank--the result: our frame is so durable we garauntee it for 10 years.
Anyone who's used an extractor on a regular basis knows that the components inside the machine are what matters. Not only did we use the best components from the most proven, experience manufactures out there, but we configured the machine in a way that makes it easy to maintain and service the machine moving forward.
First, the vacuum system: we use two-Dual Stage 5.7" Ametek vacuum motors. Not the generic-house-brand vac motors that so many other extractors have moved to that don't last. Ametek is the leader in vacuum technology, and we've found them to offer the best, most durable vacuum motors on the market. But most importantly here, we've configured the 2 vacuum motors in the most efficient way possible (another bonus from designing the machine from the ground up), as to not lose suction. Many other machines' dual vacuum systems are really a gerry-rigged system built off of there single vacuum motor machines. this results in lower vacuum suction to start, and once the machine gets some years under it's belt, loses suction permanenty from this flawed design--so much so that even rebuilding the vacuum line cannot replenish the lost suction.
Second, for the solution spray pump we only use Flojet pumps. They're simply the best. They are easy to maintain and are much more durable than any other pump on the market today. Period. We've also put the pump strategically at an easy location to get to, so you can easily adjust the pressure switch without having to remove the water from the solution tank or dismantle half the machine to get to it.
Then there's the little things that add up to a more durable machine: the stainless steel tanks, that are easy to clean and are more hygenic than roto molded tanks (and, of course, more durable). Also, we only use stainless steel nuts and bolts in fabrication. While that may seem like a small thing to bring up here, believe us when we say that down the road it makes a world of difference, when you have to replace a vacuuum motor or service another part. Anyone who's tried to take a 3 year old zinc plated nut off of a bolt inside an extractor knows how much rust can lead to real frustration and bloody knuckles. We also only use the highest grade brass fittings inside and outside the machine on the solution lines, no plastic.
Finally, we've put it all together in a compact design. Our machine is the only one that can fit down a bus isle for easy upholstery cleaning. It's also easy to pick up and move around, and doesn't take up a lot of space in the shop. The end result is a machine that will perform to your expectations, day in, and day out.
Some important details: The machine comes standard with a 9' vacuum/solution hose and uphostery tool. A floor wand will be additional and can be purchased in the accessories catagory of our store. The machine can be mated with as much as 30 feet of hose. If you'd like any other specific accessories that you don't see on our site, you can call us toll free at 877-622-8321. Also, the picture features a black steel cage on the solution tank (in back), which is not standard on the machine, and can be purchased for an additional $150.00. Finally, we do offer the machine with a internal heating system, that machine is the Kelvin 3H and is listed on our website.
