Presta Ultra Cutting Creme is a high quality compound that can be applied on a wide variety of finishes. Only a small amount of Ultra Cutting Creme should be worked into the finish, too much will not achieve faster results. For automotive clearcoats, Ultra Cutting Creme will safely remove most foreign elements on the finish (i.e. tar, road film, road paint). It does a good job removing surface scratches that have not pierced through the clearcoat (like fingernail scratches, etc). Compounding with Ultra Cut will also enable the wax you finish with adhere better to the surface. For marine gelcoats, Ultra Cutting Creme will remove discoloration, water line marks, heavy oxidation (chalking), along with any foreign elements on the finish. It will not create swirls on the gelcoat. For extreme oxidation, we suggest Presta's Super Cut Compound, which is a 600 grit compound and will remove oxidation that normally has to be wet sanded. Specs: 1200 grit compound. Best applied with wool pad, but can be applied by hand.
