Super Cut Compound from Presta Products is a 600 grit, aggressive compound designed to remove deep discolorations on gel coats. This product will also remove heavy oxidation ('chalking') that commonly appears after a gel coat is exposed to sunlight and extreme weather. For best results, use a high speed buffer with wool pad. Start with a small amount of compound and work into the finish slowly, then increase the rpms until the compound flashes off. This is the strongest compound we've found on the market for restoring gel-coats, and is a true alternative the the labor intensive process of wet sanding a gel coat. Do not use on painted surfaces, and cover any lettering on your vessel before using this product, as it will remove just about everything it comes in contact with.
